Welcome from Head of School
It's a great day to Be A Saint!
Welcome from Head of School William Hess, Holy Name ‘89
Berks Catholic High School has a historic legacy spanning generations. Teachers are devoted, engaged, and masters in their field. However, the uniqueness of our community and our bold approach to teaching and learning set the Saints apart.
Berks Catholic faithfully lives up to its four pillars: God, Family, Academics, Fun. A supportive environment, centered on our Catholic faith, family, academic excellence, and fun is our trademark. We experience God through Holy Mass, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, Stations of the Cross, time spent in our chapel, complete thousands of hours of service to our community each year, crown Mary, our Blessed Mother, and in so many other ways. These are just a few examples of what makes Berks Catholic uniquely Catholic.
As a family, we experience so many opportunities to care for each other. We celebrate the start of the school year with our freshmen and new family Prayer Service, a BC favorite, grandparents day, field trips, ring and pin ceremonies, NHS induction, Student Government induction, TriM induction, and so many precious moments when our students, their families, our faculty and staff care for each other on a daily basis.
Academically, we challenge our students each and every day. Deeply rooted in our Catholic faith, our faculty and curriculum challenge our students with genuine and life-changing learning experiences to ensure they are prepared to be college and life ready. With a rigorous curriculum, our excellent and caring faculty challenge our students to break out of their comfort zone, think critically, and go beyond anything they thought they were capable of. At BC, we encourage our students to learn about, address, and tackle real-world problems, with catholicity at the forefront of all we do.
Our students experience fun in incredibly rewarding ways at sports practices, games, championships, play practices, shows, involvement in dozens of clubs, dress-down days, spirit week, Catholic Schools Week, talent shows, dances, prom, Saints Day, and so many other activities. We are truly a well-rounded community of faith.
I invite you to browse our website. Today and every day is a Great Day To Be A Saint!
Sincerely,
