What is Canvas LMS?

Canvas is our school’s online learning platform. Teachers use Canvas to post assignments, share resources, give quizzes, and provide feedback. As a student, Canvas is your main hub to check what’s due, submit work, and stay connected with your classes.

How to Log In to Canvas as a Student

On a Mobile Device (phone or tablet):

1. Download the Canvas Student app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). This application is automatically installed on student devices. 

2. Open the app and search for Berks Catholic High School.

3. Select our school from the list.

4. Log in using your school-issued email address and password.

On a Computer (browser access):

1. Go to berkscatholic.instructure.com.

2. Click Sign in with Microsoft.

3. Enter your school-issued email address and password.

We are dedicated to working together with you to support your child’s academic growth and responsible use of technology. With that in mind, we want to highlight an important resource available to you: Canvas Parent. This tool allows you to easily track your child’s academic progress, including assignment submissions, grades, and teacher feedback. By logging into your Canvas Parent account, you can stay up to date on coursework and upcoming deadlines, making it easier to support and reinforce learning at home.

If your child is experiencing a technology emergency, they are to submit a "Support Ticket" using the button below. They also have the ability to submit a ticket from the "BC Support Ticket" shortcut on their iPad home screen.

Compliance with State and Federal Laws on Student Technology Use
Berks Catholic High School is committed to ensuring a safe and responsible digital learning environment. Our school complies with all applicable state and federal laws governing student technology and internet use, including:

• Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA) – Requires schools to implement internet safety policies and filtering to protect students from harmful or inappropriate online content.

• Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) – Governs the collection of personal information from children under the age of 13.

• Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) – Protects the privacy of student education records and regulates the disclosure of personally identifiable information.

• Protecting Children in the 21st Century Act – Requires schools to educate students about appropriate online behavior, including social networking interactions and cyberbullying awareness.
